Season Wrap Up


In keeping with tradition, the last home game of the season is Senior Night. Our seniors were escorted onto the field by family and friends prior to game time to be honored for their participation in the program.

The Warriors ended the season on high note. Coming off three disappointing losses, the final game of the regular season ended with a win for the Warriors over their rival, the Wallenpaupack Buckhorns.

The defeat of the Buckhorns effectively knocked them out of the running for district play offs and landed the Warriors the district play off spot.

Our graduating seniors left their home field for last time victorious amid a crowd of cheering fans and hoping to be the class that would be first in DV history to win a district play-off game.

DV would travel to Nazareth in week 1 of the 2011 District Play-offs hoping to pull out a win against the Blue Eagles.

After a scoreless first quarter, Nazareth scored big in the second quarter. Joe Santiago returned a kick off for 95 yards to put the Warriors on the board before the half.

The Warriors would rally back in the second half with 2 TD runs by Martin Strenk. John Harsch caught a TD pass from Bryan Schor but it was too little too late for the Warriors to close the gap.

Nazareth would win it 43-28.

We are so proud of our senior class and all they have accomplished this season! Best of luck to you all!
