A rough amount was given. A cap was put in place for the scholarship. A motion was put on the floor by Aurora and seconded by Jeff Drumheller.
New Business:
The fishing derby went very well and thanks again to everyone that helped. A clarification was needed as to when the kids started and as to when they finished for the fishing derby. The fishing was also a very huge success. It was also brought up that Sunday May 5, 2013 was the 5K run and Charlie Lutz was going to be up there and we were hoping that another person could volunteer to attend and there was a list with some of the adults and some students. The 5 K run was going to be at Camp Speers on Route 739 in Dingmans Ferry. The 5K run was to start at 8:30am. Registration was at 7AM.
Tony brought up about the sponsorships and the parking. The parking will have to be paid up front before anyone will receive there parking passes. There is a limit has to what parking will be available. This will be done on a first come first serve basis. Further information will come as we get closer to the season. There was also a discussion of possibly allowing senior’s family a first chance to purchase there parking. Then open it up to the other students. It was also brought up that the parking was for a fundraiser. There was also brought that on how we can get the word out about the parking spots. Jeff Drumheller is going to handle the parking passes and collection. It was also brought up that we had some sponsors that have not paid for the last year’s program ads. Dianne brought up that a deadline should be set and if a payment has not been received they should not be put in the programs. Last years program ads had to be done early. This years program had doesn’t have to been done until Septemember. Tony requested that a list needs to be done and anything that could not be handled Tony and Charlie would help in the collections. Anyone that is outstanding from last years program ads need to be paid up before a new one will be placed. Program ads pricing could possibly change. The collections need to be rapped up and we need to move forward. Tony Bergamnn brought up about the Scholarships; a committee had to be set up. Anyone who was interested in helping with that was asked to stay after and go over the applicants. The applicants had to write about what you have acquired while being in the football program. This was based on essay content, grammar, team spirit and commitment and participation in team activities and being a positive influence on and off the field. A cap amount was discussed and set. That amount is going to be $2500.00. Tony put the motion on the floor and Dianne seconded it and Tom Drumheller. And there was an opposed on the floor from Aurora Bergmann as to the amount that was set for the cap. There was a discussion of the lifting challenge if we are going to do it and Tony said he was going to follow up with Coach Olsommer and he will let us know. The Warrior Festival will be on September 28, 2013 and Dagmar Strenk gave Lisa Matarazzo a time line of when things need to be done. Lisa said she will be sending an email out to everyone to see who still wants to be a part of it and participate in it. There was also a discussion of doing possibly doing the “WHITE OUT AGAIN”. A mailer will go out from the president of the booster club updating all the parents as to what is up and coming and the opportunity’s for everyone in our program. Lisa feels personally that she would like to see this improved. As well as include the younger families in what is up and coming. With the presidents letter a calendar of events will go out and information for selling the ads in the programs for the home games. She has also noticed that no one got there pictures done besides the Varsity team. Lisa felt there is a definite disconnect from each of the schools program. The Florida trip up and coming will be 2014. The next trip for Florida will be “2017”. These dates have not been set yet. Just keep working toward it. A discussion was brought up on how to get the information out to the players and there families. Emails will go out and mailers. If you are not on the email list please send an email to one of the board members and will get you your information. We also have a facebook page. Team mothers have not been set up for the middle schools yet if your interested please let us know. Team mothers are very important part of our program. We have the team mothers for the up coming freshman team Amber Woodruff, Junior Varsity team Mom is Dianne Brennan. Tony is going to work on the mailer and get the dates from Coach Olsommer. Dianne asked for the names of the people who were going to stay for the committee: Tom McGowan , Jeff Drumheller, Gail Sebring, Lisa Matarazzo. A question was asked about the team managers if all spots have been taken up, anyone that is interested in being a part of this can see Coach Olsommer. Tony made a motion to adjourn the meeting and it was seconded by Dianne Brennan. The next Meeting is on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 6PM.
