Delaware Valley at West Scranton (2010 Varsity)

On Friday, September 24 2010 at 7 p.m., the DV Warriors lost to West Scranton by a score of 34 - 35.

The Warriors traveled to Scranton Memorial Stadium to play their first Lackawanna League game against the West Scranton Invaders
On DV's first drive, Chris Cohen eats up the yards with a series of runs to put the Warriors in scoring position. Martin Strenk makes the short run into the endzone for DV's first strike. Joe Hunt kicks the extra point.
The Invaders take possession, but a QB sack by our own Brandon Clemons results in a fumble recovery by Jeremy Reynolds.
Cohen capitalizes on the Invaders misfortune with a 35 yd sprint to the endzone. A two point conversion comes up short.
West Scranton gets on the board late in the first quarter with a pitch to Josh Schroeder who runs it 50 yds for a TD. Extra point, good.
On DV's second quarter drive, the Warriors find themselves facing a fourth and goal. QB Bryan Schor scores on a QB Keeper. Extra point, no good.
The Invaders answer back with Ray Dominguez scoring on a short run. Extra point, good.
DV takes possession and thier march downfield ends with RB, Martin Strenk putting a second TD under his belt for the night. Going into the half, DV leads 26-14.
With DV set to receive in the second half, the Invaders steal possession by recovering an onsides kick. Josh Schroeder scores the next play on a 40 yd run
The Invaders attempt another onsides kick but this time Marc Wagner recovers for the Warriors.
Early in the 4th, WS, QB Tyler Hughes, completes a pass to Ray Dominguez to tie up the game. DV recovers a fumble on the 2 point conversion attempt.
A kick return by Cory Savarese puts the Warriors on the 50, to follow up , a 35 pass completed to Connor Decker is capped off with Chris Cohen in for another DV TD. Schor completes a pass to Decker for the 2 point conversion and the Warriors are leading 34-27.
With three minutes left to play, West's QB, Tyler Hughes completes a 68 yd pass to Malcolm Sweeting for a TD. Trailing the Warriors by 1, the Invaders run in the 2 point conversion to take the lead.
The Warriors unable to score on their next possession and out of time, suffer their first defeat.
