Delaware Valley at Valley View (2010 Varsity)

On Friday, October 15 2010 at 7 p.m., the DV Warriors lost to Valley View by a score of 19 - 20.

TV 13's "Big Game" Lou Rusnock chose our very own Chris Cohen, as his pick for this week's "Friday Night Gamebreaker"!

In fact, listening in live from home was definetly warmer and dryer as the Warriors traveled to Valley View to play the Cougars last night!

It was cold, rainy and the wind was howling as the Warriors took the field!
The weather made for slippery footing and putting together a successful passing game was a challenge for both teams.
Valley View was first to score with RB Pat Jeffers breaking free for a 16 yd TD. Extra point, no good.

The Warriors answer back with Schor connecting a screen pass to Cohen who takes it all the way to the Cougar 3 yd line. A few plays later and Chris is in the endzone for a Warrior TD. Joe Hunt makes the kick and DV leads 7-6.

A scoreless second half leaves DV up by 1 at the half.

Well into the 3rd quarter, DV's Jeremy Reynolds goes on a 35 yd run slipping tackles on his way to set up DV on the Cougar 5. Schor hands the ball off to Cohen and Chris scores his second TD of the night. A wet ball causes a failed field goal attempt and the Warriors lead by a touchdown.

A QB keeper by VV's Liam Callejas, moves the Cougars into position to score. Pat Jeffers makes a TD from 4 yds out to tie up the game. Luke Brady kicks the extra point and the Cougars take the lead.

With 5 minutes left to play, Bryan Schor completes a pass to Kyle Zimnick moving the ball into Cougar territory.
Jeremy Reynolds follows up with a big gain for the Warriors which leads to Chris Cohen running in his third TD for the Warriors. The extra point needed to tie up the game is blocked and the Warriors lose by one.
Final Score DV 19 - VV 20.
