On Friday, September 16 2011 at 7 p.m., the DV Warriors beat Hazleton Area by a score of 44 - 7.

The Warriors move to 3-0 in week three with a 44-7 win over the Hazleton Cougars.

DV RB Joe Basile scores on a 1 yard run early in the game. Joe Hunt kicks in the extra point. Later in the first quarter Joe Hunt kicks a 20 yard field goal to give the Warriors a 10-0 lead.

Midway through the second quarter, Brian Schor completes a 29 yard TD pass to Johnny Harsch.

The Cougars score late in the second quarter when Campbell runs it into the end zone leaving the score at the half 17-7 Warriors.

The Warriors continue to dominate in the second half with a 49 yard pass completion by Schor to Connor Decker for another Warrior TD.

Brian Schor connects with WR Bob Morley for another touchdown putting DV on top 30-7.

Not only can Brian Scor throw the ball, he can run it as well which he proved on a 27 yard run into the end zone. Joe Hunt kicks in the extra point.

With seconds remaining in the third, Del Val’s Martin Strenk returns a blocked punt 17 yards for a touchdown.

DV walks away with the win 44-7.

The 5th Annual Warrior Festival hosted by the Friends of Warrior Football Booster Club will start at 10:00.

There will be local vendors, student organizations and clubs offering a variety of goods for sale, giveaways, food, games and prizes.

The day will kick off as our two youth leagues, PAYAL and DFL take the field at Warrior Stadium.
Our Middle School Field Hockey teams will showcase their talent as DV plays Ding Del.
Our festival will wrap up with the “Main Event” as the Warriors take on the Invaders at 4:00.
Halftime entertainment includes the crowning of our Homecoming Queen and the King of Legs.

The evening will end with our students dressed in their finest and dancing the night away at the Homecoming Dance!
